Picking up a third language can firm up bonds between S’poreans

Miss Valerie Yeo, a Research Assistant (Special Projects) from the Institute of Policy Studies at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS noted that the ability to communicate with others in their mother tongue will enable Singaporeans to expand cultural consciousness beyond individual ethnic groups, and promote acceptance and mitigate racism in a multicultural society.
