Programme to help manage and treat sarcoma cancer

Assoc Prof Alexandre Chan from the NUS Dept of Pharmacy led a study on Asian sarcoma cancer patients, which aimed to understand how the patients' symptoms affect their quality of life and how medication is used. Findings of the study, the first on Asian sarcoma patients, will be used to develop an orientation programme for the rare tissue cancer, which is expected to be launched in April 2015. The study was conducted in collaboration with the National Cancer Centre Singapore.
