Ramping up discretionary admissions

Education institutions in Singapore are shifting towards aptitude-based admissions. In 2017, NUS had looked beyond academic grades to take in nearly 15 per cent of its intake through the Discretionary Admissions Scheme. NUS Vice Provost (Undergraduate Education & Student Life) Prof Bernard Tan said that these students add vibrancy to the NUS community and enhance the richness of the learning experience.
