The revival of openness and civilisation

Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director of the East Asian Institute at NUS, noted that even as China advocates “cultural self-confidence”, it also urgently needs to undergo a “new cultural movement” which is civilised, progressive, advanced and even revolutionary.
