Robot kayak joins fight against algae

The Tropical Marine Science Institute at NUS and the Singapore-MIT Alliance for Research and Technology Centre for Environmental Sensing and Modelling have been harnessing advanced technologies to monitor environmental stressors, including algal blooms. A robot kayak developed by the two partners is being used to measure water temperature, salinity and chlorophyll in the waters of the Strait of Johor.
