Singapore at 50: What Lies Ahead? Conference

Organised by the Institute of Policy Studies and the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS, the SG50+ Conference marks the university's contribution to the SG50 celebrations and NUS' 110th anniversary since its founding. The conference serves as an opportunity to reflect on how Singapore has succeeded in the half-century since Independence, and how the city-state might continue to survive and thrive in the next 50 years. Among the prominent speakers featured at the conference included Singapore Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, Deputy Prime Minister Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Emeritus Senior Minister Goh Chok Tong, Former Prime Minister of the United Kingdom Sir John Major, Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy Professor Kishore Mahbubani.
