Singaporeans promote healthy eating but still need to increase physical activity

A study by NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at NUS showed an increase in the number of Singaporeans/permanent residents choosing to consume foods with less sugar. However, only 30 per cent of the 806 respondents surveyed managed to achieve the weekly exercise duration targets recommended by the Health Promotion Board.
