Some elders have symptoms of depression, survey

NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health and Dongguk University conducted a study and found that 48.2 per cent of elderly aged above 55 years old who stayed in studio apartments, had symptoms of depression. Compared to divorced and single elderly, widowed elderly had higher chance to encounter depression. Loss of old friends due to death or lack of faith in life also contributed to depression.
