Some solemn lessons from the Day of Asyura

Assoc Prof Syed Farid Alatas from the Dept of Sociology at the NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences discussed the historic battle of Karbala in Iraq and the leadership of Imam Husain in that battle, as well as the significance and lessons it holds for the Islamic community today.
