S'pore as Asia's start-up nation, infrastructure financing hub?

Adj Prof Madhur Maini, Assoc Prof Donald Low and Assoc Prof Razeen Sally from NUS’ Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy opined that a growth model that funnels funds from “East to East” could replace Singapore’s traditional focus on “West to East” after 50 years of unparalleled success. They raised two ideas – Singapore as Asia’s infrastructure financing hub and as Asia’s start-up nation – and noted that achieving these goals demands a hard look at Singapore’s existing policies and institutions.
