The story of Baweanese kampung wins second place in the University of California essay competition

Mr Hadi Osni from the Department of Architecture at the School of Design and Environment, came in second in the Berkeley Prize Essay Competition for his essay titled ‘Baweanese Pondok: Pondok Tampilung’. The competition was organised by the Department of Architecture, College of Environmental Design at the University of California, Berkeley. Mr Hadi plans to conduct research on migrants from the Bawean island for his PhD thesis at NUS after graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in August this year.
