Survey: Lonely elderly who are non-religious more likely to seek emergency medical attention

A joint survey conducted by Duke-NUS Medical School and Singapore General Hospital found that seniors aged 60 and above who live alone in rental flats are more likely to seek emergency medical assistant. The team also found that religion help strengthen the resilience of older people and help them cope with diseases better as the probability of hospitalisation for this group was lower.
