Terror threat closer than Singaporeans think: ESM Goh

Speaking at a dialogue on 8 September 2017 to mark the 13th anniversary of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS, Emeritus Senior Minister (ESM) Goh Chok Tong said that the developments of the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) terror group in the region, coupled with the presence of self-radicalised individuals here, means that Singaporeans need to prepare themselves for an eventual terrorist attack. The dialogue was chaired by Prof Kishore Mahbubani, Dean of LKY School.
