Time for smoking reduction strategies to get more personal

Assoc Prof Bibhas Chakraborty from Duke-NUS Medical School and the Dept of Statistics and Applied Probability at NUS Faculty of Science, and Yan Xiaoxi, a graduate student from Duke-NUS opined that the Singapore government should consider delivering ‘personalised’ strategies through digital means, such as mobile-based applications in order to cut the smoking rate from the current 12 per cent to below 10 per cent by 2020.
