T.rex ant turns out to be a timid ant

An ant named after the fierce, carnivorous dinosaur Tyrannosaurus rex has been observed alive for the first time by Mr Gordon Yong, Year 4 student from the Dept of Biological Sciences at NUS Faculty of Science, and Mr Mark Wong, a National Geographic Young Explorer, from the National Parks Board. Until now, these Asian ants were a complete mystery to science, despite being discovered more than 20 years ago.
