A study of local COVID-19 patients found that the amount of virus present in a patient is at its highest in the early stages of infection, which is also the most contagious period. Executive Director of the National Centre for Infectious Diseases Professor Leo Yee-Sin, Singapore’s Chief Health Scientist Professor Tan Chorh Chuan and Senior Vice President (Health Innovation & Translation) Professor John Eu-Li Wong have published their observations in the Journal of the American Medical Association on 20 Feb 2020.
