Wake-up call to Hong Kong rule of law

Dr Guo Liangping, Senior Research Fellow from the East Asian Institute at NUS commented that although Mrs Carrie Lam, the Chief Executive of Hong Kong, has formally withdrawn the amendment to the Fugitive Offenders Ordinance, the outcome was still unpredictable, and a wake-up call to the rule of law in Hong Kong has already been sounded.
