Welcoming Chinese tourists

Assoc Prof Thang Leng Leng from the Dept of Japanese Studies at the NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences opined that the rising numbers of Chinese tourists around the world is a welcomed phenomenon as not only does this bring economic benefits to host countries, it also gives Chinese tourists the opportunity to expand their horizons. She added that thanks to Chinese tourists, travelling for Mandarin speakers has also become more convenient.
