What India’s state poll results mean for Modi and BJP

Prof Dr Ronojoy Sen of the Institute of South Asian Studies at NUS opined that India’s state poll results which showed opposition Congress party leading the race, represented a coming of age for Rahul Gandhi, the party president who has often been dismissed as a lightweight. The results will ring alarm bells for India’s ruling Bharatiya Janata Party as it heads into general elections in early 2019.
