What’s behind the dengue resurgence and should you be concerned

Asst Prof Vincent Pang Juxiong, Director of the Centre for Infectious Disease Epidemiology and Research at the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at NUS, and Assoc Prof Lim Poh Liam of the National Centre for Infectious Diseases noted that dengue control continues to depend on vector control, through innovative technologies and old-fashioned whole-of-community involvement to reduce breeding sites. They opined that these need to be supplemented by personal protective measure as well as public health interventions.
