Who wants to rule the world?

Prof Simon Chesterman, Dean, NUS Faculty of Law, opined that for an organisation as important as the United Nations (UN), having its secretary-general chosen by the lowest common denominator of what the five permanent members of the Security Council (P5) finds acceptable, is not good enough. He hopes that the ninth candidate for the appointment is bold enough to articulate a vision for what the UN could achieve.
