Who will replace a retreating US in S-E Asia?

Prof Khong Yuen Foong, Li Ka Shing Professor in Political Science from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS shared three possible scenarios of how South-east Asia’s strategic order would look like if the US were to withdraw militarily from Asia. He also highlighted that in return for opportunities to grow with China, South-east Asia would likely accept China’s leadership and accommodate its key strategic interests.
