Why Imran Khan offers a new hope for South Asia

Prof C. Raja Mohan, Director of the Institute of South Asian Studies at NUS opined that the international community, including the US and China, is eager to see a political settlement in Afghanistan, and Pakistan’s help in producing a reasonable arrangement with the insurgent Taleban will be widely appreciated. Prof Mohan added that a pause in the conflict with India, let alone a major breakthrough, can have a powerful and positive impact on the region.
