A budget standard for everyone in a diverse society

Dr Neo Yu Wei, Research Fellow from the Social Service Research Centre at NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences and Dr Ad Maulod, Research Fellow from the Centre for Ageing Research and Education at Duke-NUS Medical School observed from their research project that embracing diversity involves sensitivity towards varying conditions and the need to pay particular attention to how these can limit choice. The writers opined that meaningful conversations on basic needs should confront our differences, as well as encourage spaces for different opinions to grow.
