Avoiding the trap of 'regulatory failures'

Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director of the East Asian Institute at NUS, opined that incidents in China, such as the student who died after seeking cancer treatment at a military hospital, will continue to occur in China because the government has failed to establish a regulatory system that effectively balances the relationship between politics and business.
