Assoc Prof Mak Yuen Teen from the Department of Accounting at NUS Business School highlighted that there will be 117 annual general meetings (AGMs) and three standalone extraordinary general meetings held on 28 April 2017. He noted that some clustering is unavoidable and suggested possible factors that shareholders can consider when they have to choose which AGM to attend, as well as measures to mitigate the effects of clustering.
