China's economic woes in recent years

Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director of the East Asian Institute at NUS, opined that the current economic uncertainty in China is largely due to the approach adopted by the government in the implementation of its ‘new-type urbanisation’ policy, as well as its failure at implementing effective structural reforms.
