‘Cosmolanders’ and Singapore’s dual personality

Prof Tan Tai Yong, President of Yale-NUS College and the Institute of Policy Studies’ sixth S R Nathan Fellow for the Study of Singapore, gave a talk on diversity at the IPS-Nathan Lecture Series on 6 March 2019. Prof Tan noted that diversity, once regarded as an obstacle to common identity which had to be managed, is now seen as a key characteristic and strength.
