COVID-19 vaccines: Now, later or never?

Are the COVID-19 vaccines safe? Will there be long-term side effects? What are the differences between the different vaccines?

With Singapore’s vaccination programme underway, NUS experts answered the public’s most pressing queries.

The session on 7 Jan was moderated by Professor Teo Yik Ying, Dean of the NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health, and featured the following experts:

- Professor Dale Fisher from the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, who is also Chair of the World Health Organization's Global Outbreak Alert and Response Network;

- Professor Ooi Eng Eong, Deputy Director of the Programme in Emerging Infectious Diseases at Duke-NUS Medical School, and co-developer of Lunar-Covid19 vaccine; and

- Associate Professor Alex Cook, Vice Dean (Research) and Domain Leader (Biostatistics and Modelling) at the NUS Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health.
