Creating new nerve cells to treat Parkinson's

A team of scientists from the NUS and National Neuroscience Institute has succeeded in using stem cells derived from the human umbilical cord lining to generate new dopamine-producing nerve cells which could possibly reverse the effects of Parkinson\'s.
