Cryptocurrencies and their implications for Singapore

Prof Ramkishen Rajan from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS and Mr Daniel Hurst, a freelance writer for Global-is-Asian, the School’s flagship publication, discussed the underlying motivating factors for the rise of cryptocurriences and the potential for systemic risks if these currencies do become more widespread in their use. The authors also highlighted how Singapore can keep abreast of the trend.
