Digital technologies finally making possible financial inclusion in India

Dr Duvvuri Subbarao, Distinguished Visiting Research Fellow at the Institute of South Asian Studies at NUS pointed out that digital technologies are making financial inclusion in India thanks to a repackaged no-frills bank account scheme, a biometric ID system for all residents and the availability of cheap smartphones.
