English literature in schools: Time to update the plot?

Prof Philip Holden from the Dept of English Language and Literature at the NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and Asst Prof Suzanne Choo from the National Institue of Education, noted that literature classrooms in Singapore schools seem insulated from the world, and suggested three reforms to the Literature curriculum.
