Facing up to facial recognition technology

Prof Simon Chesterman, Dean of NUS Faculty of Law noted that the benefits of facial recognition technology are that it offers a quick, non-invasive means of identifying people, but that there are also dangers, such as enabling mass surveillance on an unprecedented scale.
