A team of NUS Business and Science undergraduates have emerged triumphant at the CFA Institute Research Challenge Singapore Round 2016, sweeping both the Team Champion and the Best Research Report Awards. The annual competition, held in Singapore since 2007, has seen an NUS victory five times.

The Challenge, organised by CFA Institute, an international association of professionals from the financial sector, requires university students to conduct research on and analyse a public listed company, as well as prepare a research report on it. Teams are provided with hands-on guidance and coaching in financial analysis during the Challenge.

The winning team is en route to the Asia Pacific Regional round in Chicago in April, where they will battle with more than 20 universities. If they win, they will represent the region in the Global Final.
