Foul odour of failed air pollution policy

Prof Asit K. Biswas from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS and Dr Kris Hartley from Cornell University, opined that now is the time for domestic constituents, environmental watchdogs, and policy experts to advocate more aggressively for good-faith policy intervention on the issue of air pollution, and stressed that there is neither economic growth nor political stability without public health, noting that leaders in the world’s rapidly developing countries may learn this the hard way.
