From capitalism to Trumpism

Prof Zheng Yongnian, Director of the East Asian Institute at NUS, noted that the rise of populism is a reaction to capitalism in the West. He opined that the triumph of Donald Trump in the US presidential election and other ‘shocking’ developments will become the new normal globally.
