Gig economy requires adaptation, not avoidance
Dr Adrian W J Kuah and Assoc Prof Donald Low from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS discussed how governments are dealing with the gig economy, or an economy characterised by many more freelance or independent contract workers, and noted that the new, innovative ways are threatening only when policies and regulations have not kept pace with social and technological innovations.
