Helping children to learn Mandarin as its use at home declines

Ms Lee Hsin, a PhD student in Public Policy at the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS, suggested a bilingual teaching approach at the lower primary (and preschool) level for the teaching and learning of Mandarin, which could also be adopted for other mother tongues in our public-school system.
