How “Belt and Road” can attract private sector participation

Assoc Prof Gu Qingyang from the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy at NUS discussed the need for China’s Belt and Road Initiative to attract the participation of the private sector. He opined that a series of institutional reforms and financial innovations are needed in order to incentivise the private sector to invest in the initiative.
