Invisibility cloak hides heat and electricity
An NUS team led by Asst Prof Qiu Cheng-Wei from the Dept of Electrical and Computer Engineering at NUS Faculty of Engineering has developed a new camouflaging shell that can protect sensors from harsh environment by drastically reducing the flow of heat and electric current to the sensor simultaneously. At the same time, the sensor is able to continue probing the temperature and voltage of the environment because the coating shell eliminates surrounding field distortions.
