Land conversion threatens Southeast Asia's mangrove forests: NUS study
A study conducted by Asst Prof Daniel Friess from the Dept of Geography at the NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, and Dr Daniel Richards, who was formerly with the Dept, has found that the conversion of mangrove forests for other uses such as rice farming and oil palm plantations poses a big threat to their existence here in Southeast Asia.
