Low community transmission rate until mid-March: Study

Researchers from the National Centre for Infectious Diseases and Duke-NUS Medical School have found that local community transmission of the coronavirus has been low till mid-March. Their ongoing study has shown that Singapore’s contact tracing efforts have been effective, with those likely to be infected successfully identified for isolation. However, this also means immunity rates here are low and that much of Singapore’s population remains susceptible to the virus.
