National strategy launched to halt the march of drug-resistant bacteria

Senior Minister of State for Health Dr Lam Pin Min launched the National Strategic Action Plan on Antimicrobial Resistance at the Public Health Thought Leadership Dialogue on Antimicrobial Resistance organised by the Saw Swee Hock School of Public Health at NUS. The national strategy will cut improper use of antibiotics in humans and locally farmed animals to stop the threat of drug-resistant bacteria from spiralling out of control.
