New focus of Tsai Ing-wen's administration

Dr Qi Dongtao from the East Asian Institute at NUS examined the focus of Taiwan’s President Tsai Ing-wen's new administration. He noted that President Tsai has chosen to place the Taiwanese economy as her government's top priority, unlike former President Ma Ying-Jeou who had focused mainly on improving Taiwan's relations with mainland China.
