New scoring system for Foundation level may dampen motivation

Dr Kelvin Seah Kah Cheng, Lecturer in the Dept of Economics at NUS Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, shared his views on whether the new grading reforms for Foundation-level students are likely to produce any unintended consequences, in light of the updates to the new Primary School Leaving Examination (PSLE) scoring system which were recently announced by the Ministry of Education.
