Institute seeks answers on how technology and cultural factors affect the way people perceive risks

The Lloyd’s Register Foundation Institute for the Public Understanding of Risk (LRFI) at NUS will be examining the impact of new technology, as well as cultural differences, on the way people perceive risks and safety issues. It will also develop new data using digital sources, as well as visuals to help decision makers better communicate risks to the public. These were recommendations outlined in the Lloyd’s Register Foundation foresight review on the public understanding of risk, produced in collaboration between the Foundation and NUS.
