Launch of Sembcorp-NUS Corporate Laboratory to develop sustainable energy, water and waste-to-resource technologies

Sembcorp and NUS launched the Sembcorp-NUS Corporate Laboratory which will look at developing cost-effective, sustainable solutions in three core research areas, namely, power generation, industrial water treatment and water reuse, as well as the transformation of waste into useful and high-value products. Set up with a jointly-funded investment of S$60 million, the Sembcorp-NUS Corporate Laboratory based at the NUS Faculty of Engineering, is supported by the National Research Foundation (NRF) Singapore under its Corporate Laboratory@University Scheme. Mr Teo Chee Hean, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of NRF Singapore, was the Guest-of-Honour at the launch event.
