New AI-powered system could reduce discomfort for pregnant patients undergoing C-section
A new AI-powered system uSINE could reduce the pain and risk of complications for pregnant patients undergoing C-section by improving the rate of accuracy of administering spinal anaesthesia at the right spot and right angle on the first try. The system, developed as part of a study conducted by KK Women's and Children’s Hospital and NUS Faculty of Engineering, is currently licensed to NUS spin-off company, HiCura Medical, for commercial distribution.
