NUS study: Bioactive compound from neem plant for prostate cancer

A team of researchers led by Assoc Prof Gautam Sethi from the Dept of Pharmacology at the NUS Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine found that nimbolide, a bioactive compound derived from the neem plant, could reduce the size of prostate cancer tumour by as much as 70 per cent and suppress its metastasis by about 50 per cent.
